Varsity College in conjunction with CHOC are holding golf days throughout the country. This one took place in the Western Cape on 26th August. CHOC staff and volunteers were there to ensure that the golfers were well taken care of. Well done to Varsity College – the golfers had a great day while much-needed funds were raised for the charity.
CHOC has an affinity for COWS. COWS represent sacredness, comfort and support. As such CHOC have adopted the child friendly mascots of the baby KEEMO and mother Thandi.
The calf and COW are symbolic of the mother and child relationship that we see at CHOC.
Please support our fundraising venture and purchase KEEMO and Thandi either as a toy for a child or a keyring for a friend. We at CHOC KZN sell them in pairs as we cannot bear to seperate the mother and child. However they are sold as individuals items.
This is a drawing of KEEMO and THANDI by one of our teenagers who has cancer.
In its 2nd year Joy and Glen de Witt in association with CHOC have organised the 2nd SANI WALK FOR CHOC on 6th August 2011. This year the walk is dedicated to young Sayurin Archary. A brave 3 year old boy, well beyond is age, who died from cancer of the kidney.
